Share of Online Sales in Polish Retail Sector Dropped to 9.1% in May From 11.9% in April

According to GUS (Statistics Poland), online sales share in the local retail sector dropped to 9.1% in May. Despite that, Unity Group’s managing partner, Grzegorz Rudno-Rudziński, remains positive about predicted e-commerce market value. RESEARCH: Every Third Pole Does More Shopping Online Than Before the Pandemic

Before the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, almost 70 percent of people using the Internet did online shopping at least once a month. One in three respondents admit that at the beginning of this period they used e-commerce more often than before, and 6 percent made their first online purchases. (content in English)

Online Purchases Helped Companies. E-Commerce Became the Lifebelt.

In the first quarter of 2020, the e-commerce sector recorded a significant rise in revenue as a result of the lockdown. Although this market will continue to develop, it is possible that customers will return to physical stores. Unity Group forecasts that in 2020, Polish e-commerce will reach a value in the range of 100-120 billion PLN, and its annual dynamics in the coming years will exceed 20 percent. (content in Polish)

E-Commerce in Poland May Exceed 100 BN PLN This Year

Unity Group estimates that the value of online commerce in Poland may exceed record-breaking 100 billion PLN before the end of 2020. It is going to see year-on-year increase of at least 20% until 2025, according to Piotr Wrzalik, Unity Group’s managing partner. In January this year – before the coronavirus even spread, the value of the e-commerce industry was cautiously predicted to grow to 70 billion PLN in 2020. (content in Polish)

New Board of the ITCorner Association and Challenges in the Face of Crisis

In April 2020, members of the Wrocław-based technology cluster ITCorner elected a new management board of the organisation. Grzegorz Rudno-Rudziński, managing partner in Unity Group, became its president. Opening Unity Group’s New Krakow Office

We are pleased to inform you that, at the beginning of March, our Krakow team moved to a new office, which is located on the 5th floor of the Principio building at Armii Krajowej 25! A team of 70 people from the Krakow branch of the Unity Group will work in 750 m2 of modern, comfortable space. We decided to change the office a year ago. Since then, the number of employees has doubled.

Hyundai is a leader in the automotive sector and one of the highest-rated global brands. The Korean brand has been on the market for over half a century. Unity Group and Hyundai Motor Poland have been cooperating for four years, a fruitful period during which several large projects have been carried out. The companies have now decided to formally announce their relationship. Unity Group has just finalized another contract with Hyundai Motor Poland.

Commerce Transformation Days 2019 – Summary

This year’s conference, organized for the first time with the ICAN Institute, the publisher of MIT Sloan Review Polska, is the consecutive sixth event (following the 5th edition of the Congress of E-commerce Directors) created to exchange experiences between brand representatives actively developing their sales on the Internet. Girl Power Programming – Scratch Workshop for Young Girls

Unity Group organized programming training for girls in Switzerland. The workshop, organized by Kilchberg Parents’ Association and led by the Unity Group, began with a brief history of the women that helped shape the early years of information technology. For the 1st programming experience, we selected Scratch – an educational visual programming language designed to teach children the core programming concepts.
